  7. THANK YOU FOR BUYING THIS CD-ROM.

  9. This CD-ROM includes a collection of Windows'95 programs, 
  10. utilites, internet programs, games, graphics, and more.
  11. The programs are the latest available for the new Windows'95
  12. operating system.
  13.  
  14. Version 2.0 has triple the size of the original CD-ROM. It has
  15. over 750Mb of data!  Most programs have been unzipped for
  16. quick test-run or installation.
  17.                    
  18. The program viewer and launcher on this CD is custom-written 
  19. for this CD-ROM. It is easy to use and powerful.
  20.  
  21. The Maple program viewer has been tested under WINDOWS '95 
  22. and run fine.
  23.  
  24. Depends on your system, you may need at least 600K RAM to run
  25. the Maple program viewer under the main menu.  If you get  
  26. "insufficient memory" message, simply get out of Windows and 
  27. the main menu.
  28.     Then type: WGP   <ENTER>  
  29. To run the viewer directly from Windows.  See TROUBLE-SHOOTING
  30. section for more help if you still have problems.

  32. No installation is needed if you use our Windows-based Maple program
  33. viewer.  It also does not install any icon or program group in your 
  34. Windows desktop either.  Most people like this low profile feature.
  35.  
  36. The Maple program viewer lets you see any text file (.DOC, .TXT, 
  37. or .ASC) and ZIP file.  It lets you unzip file to the directory 
  38. of your choice.  
  39.                                   
  40. To start browsing, simply click on the any directory that you 
  41. want to examine.  Click on any text or document file for 
  42. descriptions of the programs.  A good place to start is to click 
  43. on the .DIZ file if available.  .DIZ file lists a concise 
  44. description of the program.  Click on any .EXE or .BAT file 
  45. twice will test run the program.  Click on any .ZIP file will 
  46. let you "see" inside the content of the compressed file.  You 
  47. can also unzip the ZIP file to your hard drive by clicking on 
  48. the copy to hard disk button.

  50. Some programs may not run if its files has an "R" attribute.
  51. ALL files on CD-ROM is flagged "R" to prevent your PC from
  52. writing on the CD-ROM. This "R" attribute will stay with the 
  53. file even though you copy the file into your hard disk. 
  54. To remove this attribute, simply 
  55.      type: ATTRIB *.* -r     < ENTER >

  63. We assume Windows is in your DOS path and that you will use our
  64. Windows-based program viewer.  
  65.  
  66. Simply type GO after logging on your CD-ROM drive to launch
  67. the operating menu.

  69. If you want to by-pass the operating menu.  Simply do the 
  70. following:
  71.  
  72. 1. If you are outside WINDOWS, simply type:  
  73. D:\WGP    <ENTER>       for the default Maple program viewer
  74. -- where "D" is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.
  75.  
  76. 2. If you are inside WINDOWS, click on FILE, then RUN, then type: 
  77. D:\WINGIGA        then click "OK"
  78. -- where "D" is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.
  79.  
  80. 3. If you have logged in the CD-ROM drive and have NOT logged in
  81. WINDOWS, simply type:
  82.      WGP          <ENTER>

  87. HOW TO USE THE VIEWER
  88. =============================================
  89. The following steps to use the viewer are suggestions only.
  90. You can develop your own ways.
  91.  
  92. After loading the viewer, Click on any sub-directory, you may see 
  93. another list of sub-directories.  Click on any one of the directory 
  94. will show you a list of file names.  
  95.  
  96. To get an idea of the contents of the program, search for 
  97. files with the following extensions: 
  98.    FILENAME.TXT
  99.    FILENAME.DOC
  100.    FILENAME.MAN
  101.    FILE.DIZ      (the first one to "click" if available)
  102.    README.DOC
  103.    README.1ST
  104.    READ.ME
  105.    MANUAL.DOC
  106.    MANUAL.TXT
  107.  
  108. You should get information on how to use or launch the program.
  109. Our viewer also lets you print out any text file on the screen.
  110. You may also click on the "FULL SCREEN VIEW" button if you want
  111. to read the text file in page-mode.

  113. To launch or test-run a program, look for files with the
  114. following extensions and double-click the file.
  115.    FILENAME.BAT         (batch file)
  116.    FILENAME.EXE         (executable files)
  117.    FILENAME.COM         (compiled file, executable)
  118.  
  119. Some programs, especially the ones that write temporary files,
  120. scores, or records, will not run from the CD-ROM (read-only media).
  121. Your computer may freeze, hangs, or gives out error messages
  122. like "path not found" or "I/O errors".  Simply copy programs to
  123. your hard disk and re-run program.  Refer to TROUBLE-SHOOTING
  124. section if you have more questions.

  126. To look at the contents of a ZIP file (compressed file), simply
  127. click on it and a Windows of its file list pops up.  You can
  128. view any text files with the viewer. But you cannot launch any
  129. programs since they have not yet been decompressed.  You can
  130. copy the directory to hard disk and launch program from there.
  131.  
  132. To switch to different directory, simply click on any directory
  133. that you want to see on the directory tree.  Then click on  
  134. any files that you want to see or launch.

  139. "SCAN" AND HAS FOUND NO VIRUS.
